One of the most daunting things when looking at a certification like the FCX is knowing where to start, and what you need to go through. When studying for my FCX I created a study tracker spreadsheet to collate everything I thought relevant into one place – and I thought it may be of use to others as well.
The spreadsheet is broken down into 4 main tabs:
Written 812![]()
This contains all of the topics listed for the 812 written exam, along with some columns that can be used to track your confidence level, what materials you have used so far, and what methods you have used to re-enforce the concepts
Lab 870
This follows the same format as the Written 812 tab, but contains the topics for the lab exam
Products and Firmware Versions
This contains a table showing the products and versions that are in both the written and lab exams
Recommended Training
This tab lists all the admin guides, CLI guides, other guides and courses that I went through when studying for the exam.
